Lebanon's Female Owned Florist

Seeds Planted 70 Years Ago Still Bloom Today

Tiffany may have started out small, literally making floral wedding bouquets for her Barbies, but as a legacy florist owner, her business is anything but micro now.

“I was raised around this flower shop,” explained Tiffany Koelliker of Henderson's Florist, “My cousin and I would play at the shop during the summers and that’s when my love for the florist began.”

She officially began working at Henderson's Florist 27 years ago at age 14 and has been the proud owner for the last six years.

“I would work after school, weekends, summers – weddings have always been my favorite,” she says.

Henderson's Florist was founded 70 years ago, with Tiffany being the fourth owner in a line of all female entrepreneurs. Founded by Carrie Henderson in 1954, Tiffany explained that she admired Carrie for her tenacity as a woman business owner in the 50s, a rarity in that generation.

“No one loves your success and well-being like your family; I am blessed to get to work with them all and have a great time,” she says, “My family and our community have helped me since I bought the business. Through renovations, the pandemic, the tornado and flood, my team, my mom, my aunts and my sister have been working next to me.”

“People often don’t see that a flower shop is so much more than playing with flowers, it’s a very emotionally driven business, we form relationships with our customers on both their happiest and often saddest days,” Tiffany says, “A new job, new baby, prom, weddings, anniversaries, first dates, all the way to losing a pet, loss of loved ones, and funeral planning. We take every one of your memories personally when creating arrangements and feel blessed to be part of it all.”

Tiffany says her favorite flower is the Tulip and one of her most treasured, often unknown jobs, is decorating private homes year round and for the holidays! She says her favorite quote is, “Darling, Butterflies are not born with wings; be patient with your transformation," by C.M. Winter.
