Helping Hands for the Holidays

Bring Thanksgiving to Every Table

This Thanksgiving, the need to give back in Palm Beach County is more pressing than ever. With over 150,000 people facing food insecurity—over 50,000 of them children—many families are unsure where their next meal will come from. But together, we can change that. Local organizations are offering heartfelt opportunities to ensure no one is left hungry this holiday season. By donating food or volunteering your time, you can bring hope and warmth to families in need. Here are our favorite ways to make a difference this Thanksgiving.

United Way of Palm Beach County

Join Project Thanksgiving this November by volunteering to sort food at the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Your efforts will ensure struggling families can enjoy a nourishing holiday meal. Cash donations also help, with $20 feeding a family of four. Last year, they raised over $60,000—help them make an even bigger impact this year! Call (561) 375-6600 to register.

The Kind Kitchen

Spread kindness by delivering fresh, wholesome meals to families in need from Palm Beach Gardens to Delray Beach. Volunteers are needed to cut turkey, bake muffins, and pack side dishes. Since 1987, the Kind Kitchen has grown to serve over 30,000 meals each year. Help make a difference—call 561-788-3390 to volunteer and ensure everyone enjoys a warm holiday meal.

The Lord's Place

This Thanksgiving, The Lord's Place will provide traditional holiday meals to those in need, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a comforting feast. Staff, volunteers, and students will gather to distribute turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, and more to individuals and families facing homelessness. Help break the cycle and transform lives—call (561) 494-0125 to sign up.

Boca Helping Hands

This fall, Boca Helping Hands needs your help with the Thanksgiving Box Brigade, providing 4,000 local families with a turkey and all the ingredients for a holiday meal. Rising food costs and housing expenses have intensified the need for hunger relief in Palm Beach County. Volunteers are crucial in packing and distributing these boxes, bringing hope and joy to families. Call (561) 417-0913 to help!
