Last fall the Memorial area welcomed its newest restaurant, Heartbeet, and the glowing reviews are in. The food coming out of the kitchen at Heartbeet is healthy, innovative, and, most importantly - delicious. The vibrant, plant-based eatery has an inspired menu with dishes like Citrus-Marinated “Ceviche,” Seitan “Gyros” Plate, a variety of salads and bowls like the Chickpea Penne and Wild Mushroom Pasta, Roasted Beet “Poke” Bowl, and Soba Noodle Salad.

Ever since Hungry’s introduced plant-based offerings in 2016, there’s been an increased demand for more options. “It started with our plant-based daily special, then we added brunch items, and we received a lot of positive feedback from our customers – including more kid-friendly options,” said executive chef Sue Nowamooz.

Just like its sister restaurant, Hungry’s, Heartbeet offers a robust cocktail menu. The restaurant also has a selection of vegan wines and fruit and vegetable infused spritzers served with or without alcohol.

“People felt that this area of town needed a plant-based restaurant, and we have been so happy with the response to Heartbeet since we opened,” said Nousha Nowamooz, Vice President of Development for Hungry’s Concepts.

Overall, we’re expanding on the health and wellness we receive from nature and capitalizing on feeding your body nutritional food.  Eat more plants. That’s what we believe, Nousha Nowamooz.
