Blogger and influencer Brooke Webb launched KBStyled in 2014. She was a guest contributor to a friend's food blog and was eventually encouraged by her friend to start her own blog and build her own brand. Fast forward to 2021, and KBStyled has over 180,000 followers on Instagram and has blossomed in to a way of life for Brooke and her followers.
When did you realize KBStyled was going to become more than just a hobby?
KBStyled truly did start as a hobby, and I didn't realize its full potential until about six months in. Many of my first brand partnerships were in-kind partnerships and those opportunities slowly turned into paid collaborations. I was also working full time in Human Resources for a Fortune 50 company. Over the years, KBStyled continued to blossom into a successful business and my husband and I talked about me leaving my full-time job for at least a year before I finally made the decision to leave. It was the best decision I could have made.
What's your favorite subject to blog/post about?
Even though KBStyled started as a fashion blog, it has evolved into a lifestyle brand and I've truly enjoyed blogging about a variety of topics. I've really enjoyed blogging more about entertaining and how to do it in a stylish way. From tablescapes, to cocktails, to recipes, and more...I love sharing lifestyle ideas and at the same time incorporating personal style.
You grew up in the Carolinas, lived in Newport Beach, CA, Phoenix, AZ and now Franklin. Do you have a favorite place?
This is hard to say because all of these locations have been so special to me/us for a variety of reasons. Growing up in the Carolinas was absolutely wonderful and it will always be home but Franklin has quickly become home for our little family. We have planted our roots here and we have created so many incredible family memories and we expect to make many more for years to come.
Tell us about the KristenBrooke line of accessories.
KristenBrooke is a curated accessory collection of affordable, unique, beautiful, and handmade pieces for the modern everyday woman. I've had the opportunity to design several handmade hand beaded pieces, which are created by artisans from Colombia. I will also be introducing some clothing pieces this year and maybe one day even having my own private label.
