You may know Mallory Ervin from one of the many mediums she uses to tell her Living Fully story. The lifestyle queen held pretty high standards for herself growing up and says, "As I continued to achieve and reach for more and more it became a spiral for me that led me to a dark place that I almost didn't make it out of. However, it was the catalyst to Living Fully and my entire platform today." That platform has evolved in to a multimedia empire.
Ervin says, "I started the podcast a year and a half ago to really spread the message of 'living fully.' Of living bigger lives, and a much more elevated version of 'fine' or just keeping our heads above water, and it turned into an incredible thing. It debuted as the #2 podcast literally in the world that day and since then has had millions of listens. I'm still floored over this."
As Ervin's star rises, the hardest part is letting go. "I'm one that likes to do everything on my own in my business and personal life. Having it all to me includes doing it all, but then I run out of batteries and I am forced to pivot. Running a business of this size cannot be done solo anymore, as much as I want to do it all. And I do love bringing the right people into our small circle to help us live and work better."
But Ervin always circles back to her small town roots. "It really mattered how you treated people because everyone knew everyone. I have always treated everyone kindly and watched my grandparents and family do this for years. The way I apply it in everyday life now is also on my platform of social media where you don't see someone's face but you're still responding to a human being. Remembering that always, and knowing that we're all equal despite the outside things the world sees."
