Leon and Estefani Boerr discuss Green Lion Landscaping's Mission

At Green Lion Landscaping, turning dream-home visions into reality isn’t just a business—it’s a family affair. With parents in real estate and siblings working as general contractors and framers, starting their own home improvement venture was a natural fit for Leon and Estefani Boerr. They established their business as they began their new life together as newlyweds.

The couple’s story is rooted in close relationships. They met through family—Leon was best friends with Estefani’s brother—and for a time, distance defined their dating experience. Leon had moved from Utah to work in Idaho, often traveling back and forth to visit Estefani on the weekends, before deciding that the Beehive State was the only place he wanted to settle and build a life with his fiancée. Utah was home. He missed the mountains and the milder seasons. Soon, the state became the backdrop not only for their marriage, but for the business they would grow together.

Transparency has been a core value of the business from the start. Rather than simply showing up and completing a job, Green Lion Landscaping walks customers through every step of the process, explaining materials, plant choices, and the step-by-step process.

Education has become part of Green Lion’s mission, especially focusing on the unique challenges brought on by Utah’s climate. Many homeowners don’t know which plants can survive year-round, how sprinkler systems should be managed, which mulch is best, or how seasonal shifts affect landscaping. Leon and Estefani guide them through those decisions, empowering clients to maintain their spaces long after the job is complete.

That communication continues throughout the landscaping process. Clients are invited to check in and stay involved throughout the project. Leon and Estefani text frequently with updates, and they encourage their clients to contact them with any questions. They want every homeowner to feel comfortable speaking up. Green Lion’s goal is for the final space to reflect the client’s personality and the way they'll live in it.

Watching that transformation unfold is the part Leon and Estefani love most. There’s something thrilling about beginning with bare ground or an outdated yard and reimagining it as a gathering place, a retreat, or a backdrop for family memories. Clients often are enthusiastic throughout the process, but the most rewarding moment comes at the end, when they step into a backyard that matches their personalities and finally feels like theirs.

What also sets Green Lion Landscaping apart in a competitive industry is not only the quality of their work but also their reliability. Even though things can get busy, they make a point of doing everything in their power to finish their jobs within the promised timeframe. Customer service is treated as seriously as the landscaping itself. Prioritizing each client’s needs and preferences ensures that every yard becomes a place people genuinely want to enjoy.

Behind the scenes, Leon handles much of the hands-on side of the business. He supervises and trains employees, welcoming both experienced workers and those completely new to landscaping. The goal is not just to complete projects; they believe that “everyone should have the opportunity to learn a new skill.”

Though Green Lion Landscaping is still a young business, started in 2024, it has already gained an excellent reputation, and its vision is expansive. The couple hopes to grow significantly over the next few years, continuing to create beautiful landscapes across Utah. That ambition fits naturally into a family culture built around homes and construction.

For Green Lion Landscaping, it’s not just about grass, stone, or plants. It’s about trust, communication, and building something lasting—both for their customers and for their future together.
