Returning to Utah from NYC, this scene welcomed Madeline Rupard home, the intersection of nature and the city of Springville perfectly reflecting her art philosophy.
“The signature of my work is that I like to include those things that we might not usually consider as subjects for a painting,” Madeline says. “The gas station, the rest stop, the highways and roads built in and around the mountains… it’s about embracing the humor and structures of modern life in contrast with the beautiful landscape we live in daily in the West."
