Chattanooga is home to small businesses that do more than provide great products and services—they strengthen the fabric of the community. From children’s boutiques and pet adoption to shipping support and family-centered services, these locally owned spots bring heart, expertise, and a personal touch to every customer they serve.
The Sandbox Boutique
For more than 35 years, The Sandbox Children's Boutique has been the Chattanooga area's premier destination for infant and toddler clothing and gifts. Co-owners Bonnie Moses and Kelly Paschall purchased the conveniently located store in September 2021 and in October 2022 expanded with The Shore Next Door to serve tweens. Both stores feature high-quality clothing and thoughtfully curated gifts, and parents continually rave about the warm, personalized service that occurs when sizing a first pair of shoes, discussing the convenient online gift registry or providing in-house monogramming. Discover seasonal staples, holiday portraits, and playful party looks all under one cheerful roof. Visit The Sandbox at 307 Manufacturer’s Road | Suite 113 | Monday–Saturday | 10 AM–6 PM.

Ship Happens
Ship Happens is a new, woman-owned and operated quick pack-and-ship store located in the North Shore area. We offer shipping and drop-off services, notary services, and mailbox rentals that provide a physical address (not a P.O. Box). A recent addition to our offerings includes federal and state fingerprinting for background checks. An important part of Ship Happens is our commitment to positively impacting the community. While we support all animals, our primary focus is on partnering with lesser-known, local nonprofits that help care for our feline fur babies. This includes supporting TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Release) programs and helping find homes for adoptable kitties. Many of these smaller organizations cover costs out of their own pockets. To support them, we donate 50% of proceeds from every cat-related merchandise item sold to a featured organization each month. In addition to raising funds, we also aim to educate our customers about these groups. We regularly feature adoptable cats in our store and on our social media channels. Visit Ship Happens at 300 Cherokee Boulevard | Monday–Friday 8 AM–6 PM, Saturday 9 AM–2 PM.
