Local Dog Friendly Parks

Dog parks you and the family can take your pups for fun and socialization!

It's summertime and you know what that means, it's time to take your dogs outside to play and meet other dogs! It can be hard to find places to bring our dogs, and let us face it – they're like another child. Not sure which parks to take them to? Don’t worry, we have your back!

Here are five dog parks in the Metro Detroit Area to enjoy with your furry friend.

Lyon Oaks Dog Park
This great park contains roughly 13 acres for you and your furry friend to run around and stretch your legs. The best part is that it’s open both summer and winter. If you want to go during the colder months and want to stay warm, they have covered shelters for you sit and watch your dogs run free. This park is located on Pontiac Trail in Wixom.

Mark Twain Dog Park
This park used to be called ROAM, which is in the city of Royal Oak. They are all about creating a healthy, safe and clean environment for the dogs and their owners. They do have membership fees to make sure they can create the best environment.

Novi Dog Park
This great park is three acres and does have a membership fee as well. What makes it so special is they have a separate area for shyer & petite dogs who may prefer smaller spots.

Orion Oaks Dog Park
This dog park is a 24-acre fenced and enclosed area with a small dog area, two trails, picnic shelter, drinking water and more. There is access to Lake Sixteen for dogs only.

Karner Farm Dog Park
This West Bloomfield Park is 4 acre’s long, which gives lots of room for dogs to play. They have multiple sections. One is for small dogs, an all-dog section and one for dogs with limitations.
