Local Eateries share their wholesome favorite fares

These wonderful wellness inspired recipes from our own local health-minded restaurants will help you start your year off right.

In January, many people are focused on shedding holiday pounds. But others see the New Year as a chance to establish healthy (and sustainable) eating resolutions.

We are lucky here in The Woodlands to have fantastic eateries that make it a little easier to stick to our resolutions and enjoy going out with family or friends to a beautiful space for lunch or dinner. They have been gracious enough to share with us some of their favorite healthy eating recipes so that we can try them at home.

Herb and Beet share their Health Nut Salad, a fresh and crunchy salad full of nutrients that give energy and improve digestion. They have a fantastic menu of healthy food available at herbandbeet.com. I highly suggest checking them out for a quick, healthy, and yummy new year pick me up.

Skip the ranch on the vegetable tray this year and head towards the humus! Flowerchild is sharing their take on this greek dish, with Avocado Humus. Flowerchild makes every last bite on their menu from scratch, using farm-fresh ingredients from close to home. So, try out the humus, and then head over to iamaflowerchild.com to check out their other fabulous menu options.
