Local Mayors Express Gratitude for the People and the Progress in their Great Cities

Home is where the heart is. You may be a wanderlust and venture away often, but you would probably agree it’s always good to come back home. To see the people and the places that helped shape your growing years. Or, you may have chosen to stay in your hometown permanently, always appreciating what makes it the best place to be.

One thing is certain, living in St. Charles County offers so much to be grateful for. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked the Mayors of some of the individual cities within the County to tell us what they’re most thankful for regarding their city.

St. Charles Mayor Dan Borgmeyer:

I’m thankful for the gracious, open-minded citizens of St. Charles and their elected Council representatives for trusting in my vision and efforts toward growth and progress for our great city. The public’s volunteerism, civic contributions and philanthropy show why St. Charles continues to lead and prosper.

O'Fallon Mayor Bill Hennessey:

I’m grateful for my family, my faith and the O’Fallon community. It’s been inspiring to see our residents rally around our local businesses and restaurants, and I’m especially proud of our city employees and first responders in making O’Fallon one of America’s best places to live.

Cottleville Mayor Bob Ronkoski:

I’m thankful that I serve as Mayor of a tremendous community that’s like one big family. Not always agreeing on how things should be but willing to come together to do what’s best for the City. I’m blessed to be surrounded with so many special people.

Wentzville Mayor Nick Guccione:

As Missouri’s fastest-growing city, I’m thankful for the progress we’ve made to improve our residents’ quality of life by continually adding new amenities like our upcoming recreation center and by achieving a mix of businesses. Even as a growing city we still have a small-town feel.

Lake Saint Louis Mayor Jason Law:

As Mayor of Lake Saint Louis, I’m honored and blessed to be part of this wonderful community. I’m thankful for our kind, generous people and for the opportunity to raise my children here. My family and I couldn’t ask for a better place to call home.

St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano:

Number one on my list is my wonderful wife Joyce and our family. I’m also thankful for everyone who makes “My Hometown” St. Peters a great place to live, work, play and raise a family…our residents, businesses, staff and elected officials who make this such a special place.
