Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex offers various activities, from visiting the Turtle Back Zoo to mini golfing. The waterfront hosts weekly events you and your family can attend, from yoga classes ,musical shows to activities such as paddle boating. The Treetop Adventure Course has an obstacle course. The Environment Center hosts hands-on activities to learn about nature and animals. Codey Arena has a Summer Figure Skate Camp where children can learn how to figure skate.
The Newark Museum of Art
The Newark Museum of Art is a goldmine of activities for all ages. In addition to public exhibit tours, the museum hosts nighttime film festivals, community day events, and planetarium shows.
