Z Bar Cattle Co. brings home grown to the storefront with its grass-finished beef, fresh cuts of chicken, succulent pork, and everything in between.

For Stephen Kirkland and his family, providing a trusted source of high-quality protein for the community is paramount. As the owners of Z Bar Cattle Co., they do this by locally producing and selling grass-finished and grain-finished beef in addition to offering top-tier chicken and pork products, all here in North Texas.

"I feel that being small, local, and involved in every single stage gives us an advantage by providing what our customers are telling us they want for their family's protein needs,” said Kirkland. “Our goal is to listen to what customers have to say and produce a wholesome, affordable product.”

The Angus cattle are raised at their USDA-certified All Natural feeding facility, which follows protocols and requirements for each stage of the beef lifecycle process. With grass-finished cattle, the animals forage and graze in pastures their entire lives, producing tender, lean beef with a rich flavor.

Z Bar Cattle Co.’s retail locations, which host onsite butchers, allow for timely and quality processing of each cut of meat which includes steaks, roasts, briskets, ribs and ground beef. Local processing also ensures the purity of the meat, which is another important factor.

“We take a lot of pride in being extremely transparent with every stage of our process. We never add any outside products or fillers. Our beef doesn't contain fats from other sources or other counties all blended together,” shared Kirkland. “We want to build relationships with our customers by earning their trust and providing a great product.”
