Intro:
Our pets fill our days with pure joy and we want to offer them the best in return. From finding the right trainer to settling them into the best accommodations. The common phrase, “home away from home,” also applies to our animals. Uprooting them from their comfort zone for even a few days can be traumatic for our friends. We want to know they are well taken care of and most of all, well loved. Below are two spots for you to care for, train and board your pets.
Puppy Tubs
245 Clover Reach, Peachtree City, GA
678.354.9663
Our dogs deserve the best, right? They give us their best and ask for nothing in return. When we can’t be the ones to dote on, care for and protect them, we need to know there are people out there who can. Lisa Self, assistant manager of Puppy Tubs in Peachtree City, assures us that our animals are in good hands.
“We base our care on the foundation of trust between the dogs and of course with the pet parents. We treat all our furry clients as if they were our own and truly think of them as part of our family.”
Puppy Tubs is a 13,000 sq ft lodging, daycare, training and grooming facility. They offer full service bathing, grooming, training, day play and overnight stay. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of their knowledgeable and experienced staff members.
If you want your dog to feel cherished while you’re away, this is your spot. Puppy Tubs can board up to 175 dogs at a time, giving them lots of time for play and socialization. Dogs are broken up into play groups based on size and temperament. And for our older guys and gals, there’s a calm and easy senior area for them to keep company.
Looking for more? Take a training or obedience class, with a group or privately. Utilize their self-service or full-service spa. Beauty is power, after all. Whatever you choose through Puppy Tubs, you can’t go wrong. This is a family and a place to call home.
Windy Oaks Farm
263 Ebenezer Road, Fayetteville, GA
770.827.4246
Located just 1 mile from Peachtree City on 60 acres is Windy Oaks Farm, a premier hunter/jumper facility where they offer horse lessons, boarding and care. Owner and manager, Wendy Livingston has a lifetime of experience with horses and horse facilities. Her career has taken her across the country, and she is thrilled to bring that knowledge back home to Peachtree City and Windy Oaks Farm.
“We treat every horse like it’s our own. We personally handle every horse on a frequent basis so we can see whether there is any change needed in that horse's care. We have a meticulous facility with every detail of our horses health and happiness closely managed.”
If you’re looking for a comfortable place for your horse, Windy Oaks offers full board which includes stall cleaning, twice day feeding of premium grain and Midwestern hay and daily turnout in one of their beautiful paddocks or pastures.
You and your little ones can also partake in their lesson program. Riders from beginner to advanced will work towards progressing to the next level, readying them for local, regional and national level shows. “We want our riders to have pride in themselves when they learn to ride, and gain confidence when they compete. When young people learn to care for an animal, and feel proud of themselves, their confidence increases.”
The staff at Windy Oaks is creating a community of riders and a home for horses. If you’re looking to be a part of a special and unique community, look no further.
