Married lovebirds and songbirds Ben and Kassie Wilson will be celebrating the release of their next album at City Winery on December 14th at 7 p.m. You won’t want to miss it. Their new album, titled “Three,” came out in August. The album is unique in that it includes tapings from live shows so you can get the whole atmosphere, enjoying the music as if you were present.

“This new album is just an extension of what we do in our live shows. It was all about trying to capture the live energy that you will experience in an intimate venue,” says Ben.

Ben and Kassie met at church 18 years ago and have been married for 16 years. Both had moved to Nashville from their hometowns; Kassie from Somerville, Alabama, and Ben from Oskaloosa, Iowa. They both share a passion for music and hit it off from the start. So, they started the band Goldpine together.

The band consists of Ben and Kassie, who both sing in duet. Ben plays acoustic and electric guitar as well as a suitcase drum, which is “perfect for travel.” Kassie plays harmonica, MIDI keyboard, and tambourine. The vocals are strong, confident, and spirited. Ben describes their style as “aggressive Americana.”

Goldpine isn’t just a name—it’s a symbol of where they have been and where they are headed. "Pine" is a nod to their roots—Kassie grew up on Pines Road surrounded by the kind of grit, grace, and grounding that shapes a soul. "Gold" represents the refining fire: the challenges and hardships that mold us into something stronger, more resilient, and more honest. Together, Goldpine is a word they created to carry the weight of their story—a blend of past and future, of holding on and growing forward. Their music reflects that spirit: raw, real, and rooted.

Goldpine plays concerts and stages of all kinds, from singing the national anthem at Arrowhead Stadium before the Kansas City Chiefs football game to house shows, which you can book through their website. The appeal of house shows is that they can connect with their audience and share a great time with people who enjoy listening and experiencing music as much as they love playing music. Although, a crowd of 70,000 plus at a stadium is also an honor.

Up and coming, Goldpine will be an official showcasing artist at the 25th annual musical festival, Americanafest, this September in Nashville. They play festivals all across the country and won the 2022 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest.

Goldpine not only brings creative music to their listeners, but they have also made a deep impact on people’s lives. They’ve led and participated in several mission trips to Africa and Rwanda, and currently sponsor three children through ministries they support, "His Chase” and the “Benjamin House.” The band’s goal is to “shed some light into the world and be a blessing to other people.”

Fittingly, Goldpine has two other albums out called “One” and “Two.” You can find Goldpine music on all streaming platforms. To receive the album on vinyl or CD, check out their website.
