Lovely Weather for a Carriage Ride Together

December means that the Park Cities are lit up! There's one way to see it that's better than the rest.

While Texas rarely gets a white Christmas, the Park Cities certainly know how to spread holiday cheer. The neighborhood lights and decor usher in the spirit of the season.

A mainstay of this tradition is Tracy Pratt, her drivers and her horses with Brazos Carriage. Horses have been a huge part of Tracy’s life for as long she can remember. She rescues all of her horses. Pudge, her oldest horse, is 30 years old and she saved him from the pound that bought him from the slaughterhouse 28 years ago. She cares deeply for these animals, and has rescued 25 in total.

Tracy runs the logistics of booking all the Christmas rides and sometimes wrangles her daughters to help out. Brazos Carriage has 12 carriages running during the holidays and 15 drivers. The tradition runs deep in the Park Cities communities, and Tracy and her team have been there for quite some time. She has guests that have ridden with her every year for 15 years.

Whether your family or friend group includes 2 or 15, there is a carriage for you. Now you just need to decide who will bring the hot chocolate!
