Loving Tucson and Learning About Business

Enrique and Sophie Create Tucson-Centric Greeting Cards. Please Meet "Yours Truly" Cards.

Greetings from Tucson.

That’s what you’ll get when you receive a card from Yours Truly, a new business that features stunning images of our favorite city.

This company is the brainchild of a father and a daughter who just turned 19.

Talk about initiative.

Sophie Aldana and her dad, Enrique Aldana, enjoy hanging out together, which was the genesis of this endeavor.

“My dad and I like to do nature things,” Sophie said.

Enrique is a public relations maestro at Arizona Public Media, the local news purveyor that is under the mantle of the University of Arizona.

And it’s more than a father-daughter partnership.

“My wife and my other daughter have been supportive of our venture,” Enrique said. “It’s a great stress reliever.”

But it is not easy. The pair has stayed up until 2:30 a.m. stuffing cards.

They’re also into local nonprofits such as Youth on Their Own and Ben’s Bells.

“Sophie is a true giver … and I give a lot,” Enrique said.

Enrique took all of the photos featured on the cards. He is a board member of Youth on Their Own; its website says the cards are eco-friendly and locally made.
