Jose Siandre’s passion for helping homeowners enhance their spaces has been a lifelong journey—one that continues to evolve with every new client he serves. After his military service in the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy, Siandre ran Blue Eyed Blinds, an independent blind repair and cleaning service. But after years of seeing sales slip away due to limited offerings, he pivoted—transitioning from technician to full-time design consultant.
Now, as the local owner of Made in the Shade North Jersey, Siandre is combining his expertise with the resources of a national brand to bring high-quality, customized window treatments to homes across Bergen, Passaic, and Morris counties.
Although the business officially launched in March 2025, early support from both the national team and the local community helped Siandre hit the ground running—landing his first project almost immediately.
“I always say, ‘Think of us as the fairy godparents of window treatments,’” Siandre shraed. And it’s easy to see why. From stylish blinds and draperies to motorized shades, Made in the Shade offers transformative solutions that make any space feel brand new.
Their decorative offerings include shutters, layered shades, and unique window grills—perfect for filtering light while adding personality to your home. But the company’s services go far beyond interiors. Their outdoor patio shades, awnings, and pergolas blend style with functionality, making summer entertaining more comfortable and enjoyable.
For homeowners preparing for warmer months, Siandre recommends one of the company’s most in-demand products: motorized roller shades.
“These are by far the most popular,” he said. “They come in a variety of textures and fabrics, and the best part is that they can be motorized—controlled by a remote or through an app on your phone.”
The roller shades help filter the sunlight, allowing for a brighter room without worrying about the Sun’s intensity. Siandre’s tips extend to your backyard as well, recommending patio shades which can help keep mosquitos away. They also help with temperature control, ensuring you are always comfortable no matter where you are on a summer’s day.
What sets Made in the Shade apart, is the ability to transform spaces both aesthetically and practically.
“Seeing a room go from ‘meh’ to magnificent is so rewarding,” Siandre noted. “The creative process is what I enjoy most—working with clients to select the right fabrics, textures, and features for their homes.”
Made in the Shade brings light to our community in more ways than one. In addition to his interior design work, Siandre is passionate about supporting autism awareness—an effort close to his heart as a father.
Whether inside your living room or out on your patio, Made in the Shade North Jersey is committed to delivering elevated spaces that feel both personal and polished—one window at a time.
