Our Matcha Place opened its doors in April 2022. Since then, this mother-daughter-owned business has steadily gained popularity. Ziani’s daughters, Sofia and Layla, inspired the brand and are featured on its logo.
“I wanted to bring matcha to the community in an exciting way while also raising awareness about its amazing health benefits,” says Courtney, a former teacher and lifelong matcha drinker.
Matcha powder is created by stone-grinding green tea leaves. This vibrant superfood contains over 100 times the antioxidants of regular green tea, supports inflammation reduction, and provides essential nutrients like vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium.
Our Matcha Place prioritizes high-quality ingredients in every handcrafted drink. Their matcha is 100% organic, ceremonial grade, and purity-tested, sourced directly from farms in Japan.
All drinks are handcrafted from scratch—many of which originated as creative experiments by Sofia. The menu has expanded to include a variety of unique options. A fan favorite—and a drink Courtney recommends for new matcha drinkers—is their signature Coconut Vanilla Matcha.
They are also one of the few places in Temecula that offer Hojicha— a roasted green tea with lower caffeine content—so customers can still enjoy the benefits of matcha without the buzz.
"Our focus is on health and wellness," says Courtney, adding that the menu highlights the benefits of all drinks and wellness-enhancing add-ons like collagen. (Tip: Order your drink "Goddess Style" for an infusion of colostrum, vitamin D, and collagen!)
