Austin and Colin are a comedy-pop duo from Nashville. Inspired by Lonely Island, Bo Burnham, and Weird Al, they brilliantly satirize life's quirks through catchy and anthemic jams that will stick in your head. Their unique sound blends EDM beats with electric guitars and spicy synth melodies, providing the perfect backdrop for their hilarious and relatable lyrics. With viral hits like "Welcome To Nashville" and collaborations with Jake Owen, Walker Hayes, and Ryan Hurd, these comedic geniuses are taking the entertainment industry by storm. Get ready to laugh, dance, and question your life choices with Austin and Colin!

The pair – both born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio - first connected over Facebook in 2009, where Colin would share videos of his original music. Austin came across his account and sent him a message saying the two should collaborate - and the rest is history! After posting their first track online, titled “Minivan Jam,” the duo decided to form a band that ultimately led them to Music City.

Colin attended Belmont University and Austin Lipscomb University. Upon graduation, they decided to form a media company called Mac n’ Cheese Media, where they filmed music videos, corporate events, and weddings. Eventually, they began a “Welcome to Nashville” series in 2016. In this video, Austin and Colin visited nearly seventy of Nashville’s famed spots – which took four days alone just to film – and created relatable content on every corner. From poking fun at the pedal taverns on Broadway to the long line for the butterfly mural in The Gulch, Nashville residents deeply resonated with their content, resulting in more views and more laughter. What began as an attempt to promote their video production company became a viral internet sensation, quickly garnering millions of views.

With their phones blowing up from media outlets and morning news channels, the pair were motivated to create their own brand as content creators. Due to their success, Austin and Colin decided to make their viral video “Welcome to Nashville” a series. Their third video caught the attention of a music industry professional, which led to several meetings, pitches, and, eventually, a record deal.

“We are now in the process of gearing up to release our first album - with a label - that isn’t just Nashville-specific content,” Austin shares. “[It will be] relatable nationwide… for those who don’t like to take life too seriously. [We want to make people] smile… we’re trying to create joy in a world that’s a little too dark right now.”

With Austin’s knack for songwriting and Colin’s extensive knowledge of production, the audience immediately grew fond of the duo’s content. Tying together relatability, comedy, and their mutual love for music is “extremely meaningful” to them. Touching on the immense thought and effort that goes into each clip, they share their gratitude to those who made it possible – giving their appreciation to the people of Nashville who have and continue to support them on their journey.

Austin shares, “to be recognized for that means the world to us.” Colin adds, “Nashville is filled with thousands of insanely talented musicians… we feel so blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue this full time. It’s a dream. This community has done so much for our careers… we are super thankful for that.”

While speaking on the growth of Nashville, the pair share that Nashville’s everchanging landscape allows for them to have more fresh content. Aside from some of their favorite urban outings – including catching shows at Eastside Bowl and dining at Red Headed Stranger - they enjoy taking in the beautiful Tennessee scenery while hiking at Percy Warner Park and visiting the Assembly Food Hall downtown - because “it gives you a taste of Broadway… you can see it and smell it, but you don’t have to touch it if you don’t want to,” Austin states.

Colin, who has been making music since he was ten years old, has a message for all the readers: “If you’re trying to pursue your dreams, whatever it is, you’ve just got to stay in it as long as you can because it takes a lot of time. If you feel discouraged after a little while, remember it takes time and not to give up.” “You’ve got to stay in the game long enough for your hard work and opportunity to collide,” Austin adds. “If you stay around long enough and keep being true to who you are, good things are going to happen.”
