Photographing a monthly magazine such as Paradise Valley Lifestyle requires a sharp sense of style, a keen eye for detail and an uncanny ability to capture important aspects of the community. CJ Gershon has done just that, bringing an artistic and sophisticated look he hopes readers enjoy every time they open an issue.
"I specialize in interior, architectural, and commercial photography, however, it has been such a great experience photographing prominent people in Paradise Valley, as well as events and hot spots," CJ says.
CJ is new to the Phoenix area, arriving in mid-2017 following a period in New York working with and studying under nationally renowned interior photographers. He found the perfect home here in Phoenix, working with talented local designers to capture their spaces, structures and use of light. He loves working with designers who are committed to their craft and who take pride in the work they deliver.
In his free time, CJ loves exploring the mountains and capturing landscape photos with his girlfriend, Emily, and their energetic corgi, Tater Tot.
He has some definite thoughts on how exciting it has been to explore magazine photography.
"My favorite issue I've photographed for Paradise Valley Lifestyle has been the Food and Wine issue," he says. "It was great to work with the area's most esteemed chefs and capture some of their most beloved and beautiful dishes. Their creativity is what inspires me to push further in my own work, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with Paradise Valley Lifestyle."
