What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
At NewGen Marketers, I specialize in LEAN marketing techniques. In a nutshell, I'm proficient in testing various advertising forms quickly and cheaply to find out what works best. Implementing a repeatable and sustainable marketing strategy is what I do best.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Professionally, success is combining my skillset and passions to help people AND make a living. I find it rewarding to help businesses increase their sales. From a personal standpoint, success comes to fruition with a balance of work, family, health & wellness, and of course, helping others.
Outside of work/profession, do you have skills or talents that most people do not know about?
I'm a great shower singer and thrive at any karaoke bar, though I don't know if others totally agree. I [also] make for a really good sports coach. I care about making a difference in my players' lives and bettering them through the game we play.
What are some causes you care about?
I'm passionate about helping younger generations learn through traveling. I help operate a social impact travel company called Vivid Roots. We take students on international trips to experience new cultures, adventures, and do service work alongside local communities.

I’ve always had success building and maintaining relationships. While data is important to growing Boise’s air service, the story behind the data can be just as beneficial. Crafting relationships with local businesses and tourism partners allows me to better understand the story behind our community’s travel needs.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
My measurement of success is simple, it’s my overall happiness in my personal and professional life. I’m happily engaged to my fiancé, Lacey, and enjoy our active lifestyle of hiking and biking. Professionally, I’m fortunate to work for the City of Boise, which values a strong work/life balance. It’s refreshing to go to work each day, knowing what we do impacts millions of travelers each year.
Outside of work/profession, do you have skills or talents that most people do not know about?
While I may be your average weekend golfer, I have become surprisingly good at chipping ping pong balls in my backyard during the COVID-19 outbreak. It has become one my favorite methods of passing the time at home.
What are some causes you care about?
I find anything that benefits the youth in our community very rewarding. One project I’m particularly proud of is the Boise Airport Virtual Reality Experience. This free to use technology was a partnership between the airport and Boise State University aimed at helping children with autism navigate the Boise Airport. The new program lets children familiarize themselves with airport procedures in a setting they are comfortable in.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Excellence and empathy are my two guiding principles. These are values that have been ingrained into my daily routine from a young age and I do my best to bring both to work every day.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Success is [not] a milestone or a moment but a daily journey to do my best every day. I evaluate success through the lens of generosity. My goal is to do well enough at work so I can give as much as possible to my wife and daughter, my family and friends, and my neighbors and community.

Have you not tried my rack of lamb with Greek olive oil and oregano marinade? Might be best in the West. Honestly though, I enjoy making new memories with my family and traveling to various destinations. Occasionally on a day off, you would expect to see me on the golf course enjoying a round with friends.
What are some causes you care about?
In addition to my family, [I am] involved with city light women’s shelter and the Idaho Food Bank. I’m a big supporter of the Greek Orthodox church here in Boise.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I am an architect and MBA, and I've worked with companies of all sizes. Throughout my 35-year career, I have been involved in residential and commercial real estate development. I naturally gravitate to the “big picture” which enables me to better think and act strategically. And I’ve served as a consultant and coach for small businesses. All of these apply directly to my professional role.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
I measure success based on everyone within my sphere of influence getting what they need (not to be confused with what they want). This is true for me personally and professionally.

Not many who know me are aware that I can sing. I’m no threat to any professionals, but I can carry a tune and do so privately quite often.
What are some causes you care about?
Beyond working for one, I’m also a big fan of nonprofit organizations. The first to my mind is The Arc Inc. of Idaho where I’m president of the board. Idaho is blessed to be a leader in the U.S. in nonprofits per capita. Many of them serve great purposes in our communities and deserve our support.

I try to keep everything very organized and I pay great attention to detail. I really do care about my customer's success and I will always put their needs before mine. I continually study the ever-changing methods in today's advertising.

Personal success to me is living a balanced life, staying healthy, connected to family & friends and participating and enjoying the community we love. Professional success [is] when I can help my customers reach their goals.

I've always loved playing football / basketball and enjoyed watching at the college level. I'm really into the muscle car industry and I have a couple classic cars I enjoy working on and taking to car shows [and] I enjoy spending time going places with my wife and family

I am a promoter of car shows here in the valley and I give all proceeds to the Veteran's families of Idaho. I care deeply about work done across the country for our children's hospitals.

The skills I bring to my position as FarWest's shrub, tree and conifer buyer are honesty, integrity, attitude and 30+ years of plant knowledge.

Success for me professionally is making sure my clients are happy with their plant choices and our product selection.

My passion is professional landscape photography, Idaho landscape scenery and clients' gardens.

The most important cause that I support is the excellent treatment of and respect for gifted/special needs kids.

Making personal connections and rapport with people. Every job I’ve had has been centered around providing the best care and service for people. Customer satisfaction is always the number one goal.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
I define success as being able to see where I can improve on my downfalls. Since graduate school, I’ve lived by the saying, “do not be afraid to fail.” I see potential failure as an opportunity to see other perspectives which often become more rewarding than if it had gone entirely to plan.

Over the last year I have found a passion for woodworking. It started as a way to give a gift with meaning. The feeling that comes with taking materials from scratch and making it into something aesthetic and functional is addictive. [Wood} working has allowed me to express my ideas and inspirations far greater than I have imagined.

My family has made it a tradition to support the Idaho Food Bank. In addition to a specific cause, I try to support small business no matter where I go.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Honesty, integrity, and pragmatism, but the most important one is that I get to know my clients. I mean I really know them, which not only helps me solve their problems, but makes me incredibly passionate about making sure they are taken care of.

Legacy. I want to look back at my career and be able to say, “I built that”, and have people say that Bob Hayes helped them achieve their goals. Personally, I believe success is the ones we leave behind. Raising our children will be my greatest legacy.

I am an avid wine collector, skier, writer, and social media rabble rouser.

I am passionate about helping people, and especially kids. I currently sit on the St. Alphonsus Foundation Board, and the Rebuilding Generations Board. I actively participate in the Sawtooth Society, 100 Men for Good, The Boise Rescue Mission, and our HOA (Yeah I am that guy!).

Identifying the problems immediately that a construction project may encounter and coming up with the solutions to address these [issues] and having a passion to compete with any competitor.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Professionally, it is having repeat customers and maintaining lifelong relationships with them, and personally, it is my three daughters and watching them each pursue their own paths in life but still remain Daddy’s daughters. I can’t imagine going through life without children.

I have the ability to speak to crowds and over the years, I have performed some weddings, several funerals and in fact, I was ordained as a minister at 20 years old
What are some causes you care about?
I have several close Mexican friends in Baja that are like family - they survive on such a minimal amount of money and yet they are happy and would do anything for me as I would for them. I enjoyed starting and funding an endowment for my dad Win W. Hedrick at Boise State University and being inducted into the Chaffee Guild as a result of it.

The skills that I bring to the job are the ability to make tough decisions and then act on them, a never-give-up attitude, honesty, integrity, and a keen eye for detail
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Success to me is a big picture that includes the ability to simultaneously excel at one’s chosen profession, maintain and nurture a loving home and family life, while financially supporting worthwhile charitable causes.

I have a green thumb in the flower garden, sing and play guitar in a musical duo with my wife, and enjoy snow skiing, scuba diving and bicycling.
What are some causes you care about?
Local charities are my passion. In addition to supporting the Idaho Youth Ranch and Chrysalis House, our business provides the cleaning services for the annual Coats for Kids project in October and sponsors a men’s clothing drive in November to benefit the Boise Rescue Mission.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I’m a big thinker with an execution style like a gun-slinger. Once I make a decision on doing something, it’s off to the races to get it done quickly and efficiently. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset for business problem solving.

My personal success comes from having a happy family. It’s about the respect, trust, communication and partnership with my wife that make this happen. The same holds true in my business with our employees and clients.

I have a good imagination and the uncanny ability to spin a tall tale on any subject or place at the drop of a hat. My teenage daughters have finally caught on. I just think it’s my superpower.

My family and employees provide the bulk of ideas about where to give back [that] include charities associated with local shelters, refugee programs, cause-specific charities, and organizations that help us keep public lands public.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Probably the best skills are problem solving and communication. In Business Brokerage every deal is unique with its own set of circumstances and challenges. Although each transaction is different there is likely a similar past scenario that I have encountered that will help me overcome the situation, communicate tactfully with all parties involved and successfully get the deal to the Closing Table.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Personally, to enjoy my family, all types of outdoor activities and physically challenge myself. Professionally success means striving to do the best I possibly can for each client; then success will follow.

Well, I like to think I am a “skilled” tennis player but I am kind of old and really not very good!
What are some causes you care about?
As an Idaho Native, preserving our natural resources, open spaces and primitive areas for now and future generations is important. These are the qualities that make Idaho such a great place to live.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
As an analyzer, I’m able to recognize shifts in the business well ahead of the curve keeping which helps me navigate the business in my role. I hire smart people who can do their one component of the business much better than I can.
What is the definition of success for you, personally and professionally?
Success for me is health - health is important physically, emotionally, spiritually and professionally. Being unhealthy in any of these areas, impacts the others.
Outside of work/profession, do you have skills or talents that most people do not know about?
Outside of work it’s less about being really good at one thing and more about experiencing many things. Hanging with the family, seeing friends, golf, fly fishing, hiking are all important to me. It’s simply about enjoying the time I get to do them.
What are some causes you care about?
One thing I’ve been studying and paying close attention to is the use of plant based medicines to cure conditions like addiction, PTSD, depression, etc. While I’m lucky not to be afflicted with any of these conditions, [I] think some of the new research coming out of Johns Hopkins is going to be a game changer on this front.
