It’s entirely fitting that the historic pioneer house where Mina stands was formerly an art gallery. Today, the structure is cozily curated with racks of contemporary women’s clothing, many of which could easily qualify as art pieces.
Since opening the boutique a year ago, owner, June Pace, has come full circle: Situated on the northwest corner of Ancestor Square—which her husband Brooks developed in the late 1970s—Mina brings June back to the heart of St. George.
After a successful career in commercial and restaurant development, and as proprietress of the former Bella Donna boutique, June—along with partner Celece Krieger—is now refocusing on women’s fashion. The pair offers a personalized shopping experience to those seeking wardrobe items not typically found in department stores.
“The niche we’re trying to fill is for people who want more variety, a more unique look,” June explains. “I believe fashion is an art form, and that how you dress is an extension of your personal style. Our shop is a place for people to express their artistic, creative selves through fashion.”
Celece previously owned The Travel Connection. She brings a fashion sense culled from years of international travel, and a willingness to provide superior customer service.
“I’ve applied a lot of things to this new role that I learned from helping people with their travel,” Celece notes. “It’s all about knowing your products and finding the best fit for every body type . . . it's so nice to help people and put a smile on their faces.”
From special occasions to casual wear, jewelry and accessories, discerning shoppers will find the perfect pieces at Mina.
