There's genuine passion and excitement in the eyes of a Frisco-based event planner who will go above and beyond to make events very memorable ones. Her name is Kamrin Cloutier, and she's the founder of Monumental Memories.
Kamrin's husband inspired her to follow her dream of being an event planner. She says planning parties for her 3-year-old daughter allows her to consistently work on her creativity. With a natural eye for detail, style and fashion, Kamrin began to plan parties and weddings in 2018, and she hasn’t looked back. “I started this company with one tool, passion; the desire to create something beautiful," she says.
Because first impressions are everything, Kamrin’s ear-to-ear smile, fashionista style and charm adds to her company’s brand. As a young female entrepreneur, her determination for success is evident. She says her journey as a highly driven entrepreneur has been an experience that taught her the importance of setting and reaching goals.
Kamrin, who has a background in retail sales, says she's always enjoyed connecting with clients and providing them with unique experiences. Monumental Memories initially experienced organic growth with the one of the best marketing strategies: word of mouth. In addition to birthday parties and celebrations, she expanded into wedding planning. Kamrin recalls the interaction with her first bride: “It was the most amazing experience to plan every detail of the wedding. At the end of the wedding, the bride hugged me and thanked me for making her special day a magical one."
Another of Kamrin's bride clients testified that she and her team took away all the stress and decorated the wedding beautifully. "She is literally a gift from God!” confirmed that happy woman.
When asked why she does this type of business, Kamrin instantly says it's important as a woman to be independent. "I started this company knowing that I can make a person’s day extra special. I love taking the stress out of planning an event,” she proudly adds.
Kamrin says she looks forward to getting to know her clients through complimentary consultations. Each consultation allows her to breathe life into their vision. Everything from colors, sounds and the overall feel of the event is carefully planned with great attention to detail.
When asked how her clients describe her services, she responded with "fun, dependable and creative.”
She says she understands how stressful planning an event can be, so her goal with any event is to make it as seamless as possible. Behind every great event planner is a dedicated team. “As a team, we take time to plan every detail of an event. We give great importance to communicating all details to the client throughout the planning and execution” she says. “I am so grateful for my team. They allow me to make every event a successful one. It's so important to have team members who understand how important an event is to a client, especially a bride. It is her special day; we have to pay special attention to every detail."
Although 2020 has been a challenging year for all event planners, Kamrin found ways to overcome the challenges by expanding her services to corporate events. She is planning events within the Metroplex within current social distancing guidelines. “We're approaching the holiday season. Companies have begun to make plans for Thanksgiving events and holiday parties. I look forward to planning and providing one-of-a-kind experiences regardless of the budget,” she says.
In addition to planning events, Kamrin says she enjoys working with local photographers in designing spaces for photo sessions filled with perfect lighting and props that add unique flairs with personal touches for clients.
Kamrin is an active partner at Frisco Life and helped plan the publication's networking event held during September 2020. She partnered with other vendors with great enthusiasm and a genuine smile.
