Home-Aid Moving got its start in 2019 with a simple goal: to serve people—not just complete a job.
Founder William Turner says, “I found early on that the moving industry was often rushed, careless and transactional. I wanted to flip that on its head and build a company rooted in care, professionalism and people-first service. We started small, operating on the speed of cash, and put everything we had into every job. It wasn’t easy, but the response was overwhelming. People wanted a better experience, and we are proud to deliver it.”
After moving back from college and expecting their first child, Turner and his wife, along with their daughter, set out to create something meaningful.
“I took my moving knowledge and college degree and poured it into creating a business that would serve others, support our family and make a real difference in our community,” he says. “Moving is such a personal, often stressful life moment, and we treat it with the respect it deserves. This isn’t just about lifting furniture. It’s about protecting what matters most to families, giving people peace of mind and showing up with integrity. We have always believed that kindness, hard work and real connection can transform what moving feels like. That’s our heartbeat.”
Today, the team is focused on growth while staying true to its roots.
“We’re focused on scaling without losing what made us special,” Turner says. “That means more structured training for our team, more backend support and more community partnerships—especially with realtors, builders, business owners and senior living centers. We’ve been fortunate to scale significantly over the past few years, and one of our big goals is to continue putting more trucks on the road so we can serve even more clients daily. By the beginning of next year, we’re planning to move into a large warehouse that will allow us to offer long-term storage solutions, a major step forward in serving our clients even better.”
And while the company is expanding, small moves still hold big meaning.
“We love smaller moves. Not every move has to be a massive relocation for it to matter. Whether it’s one room, one item or one load to storage, we show up with the same professionalism and care. Smaller moves are often the most meaningful—from helping a parent downsize to getting newlyweds into their first home or just lending a hand when someone needs it. While we specialize in large, high-end relocations, smaller moves allow us to stay flexible and fill in our schedule when we’re able, and we’re always happy to help however we can.”
What sets Home-Aid apart is its people-first approach and high standards.
“We’re clean-cut, professional and highly trained. We're not just guys with a truck. We protect homes like they’re our own, communicate clearly and show up on time. We also treat clients like people. There’s no pushy sales pitch—just honest, transparent service. Since we’re locally owned and operated, there's a genuine sense of care and accountability in every job."
“We’ve been called the ‘Chick-fil-A of movers’ more than once, and we take that to heart. Honesty, kindness, going the extra mile and continuous learning are the values we believe in and work from. They’re our pillars. Leading with those values has made our team more than just movers. They’ve become dependable professionals who clients can truly trust. We don’t take shortcuts, we don’t overpromise and we always listen. That kind of culture shows up in every handshake, every padded piece of furniture and every positive review. It’s not just what we do, but it’s how we do it that makes the difference.”
