Ms. Senior Missouri America Pagaent

Those Who've Reached 'The Age of Elegance' Share Their Talent, Poise, Life Philosophies

Those who have reached “the age of elegance” have a unique opportunity to share their talent, their inspiring life philosophies, and their inner and outer beauty at the Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant.

The Missouri Pageant Alumnae Club (MPAC) is a non-profit organization that sponsors the annual pageant for women, age 60-plus, that fosters their talent and personal development through charitable giving, community service and performances.

The women compete in four categories: personal interview with judges before the pageant begins, poise in an evening gown, a brief recitation of their philosophy of life, and a talent presentation.

Carolyn Schlueter, of St. Charles County, was named Ms. Missouri Senior America 2021. She has a smile and a personality that lights up a room. She is also multi-talented.

During her working career, Carolyn was executive secretary to August A. (Gussie) Busch Jr., president/CEO of Anheuser-Busch, until he retired. She currently enthusiastically pursues her three passions in life...photography, music and painting and is an active member of the St. Louis Camera Club, St. Peters Cultural Art Centre and Lake Saint Louis Artist's Association.

Music has always played a big part in Carolyn's life. In addition to performing in various piano venues in the area, she says she treasures the memories of performing with the Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra on the oboe.

Another hobby she and her significant other truly enjoyed was competing professionally in Swing Dance Competitions locally and across the country.

She is also a three-time cancer survivor. You can read more about Caroyn on the Pageant’s website at MsMissouriSenior.org.

The hosting of the Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant is only one of the many philanthropic activities of MPAC. Over the years, the organization has donated thousands of dollars to several charities in Missouri.

Former Ms. Missouri Senior America winners stay active in the organization even after their year is completed. They continue to perform at Showcases and Former Queen shows, make public appearances for charities, and help in publicizing the activities of the Missouri Pageant Alumnae Club. The women of MPAC are available to entertain at senior centers, retirement communities, events, and special occasions. Proceeds from Showcase performances go to local and statewide charities.

Auditions for Ms. Missouri Senior America will be held February 8, 2022. The pageant is May 1, 2022, at the Florissant Civic Center. The winner of the Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant represents our state in the Ms. Senior America Pageant - the world's first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the “Age of Elegance."
