My Favorite Things: Beth Ann Kennedy

The storied producer and theatrical director selects things close to home

Leather Garden Journal

One of my favorite things is being in the garden. Last year I took a winter long workshop on Permaculture with Broken Ground. I now have eight raised beds, level beds and a food forest and am growing vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Pickleball

I learned how to play pickleball with Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club. It's great to be involved with a club that provides social, philanthropic, cultural, and recreational community-oriented opportunities for members which also produces fundraising events that benefit local nonprofits.

Fly Fishing

Since childhood, one of my favorite things is wading in a river and dancing. Fly fishing is a combination of both for me. It is also fantastic how many organizations in Bozeman are working to keep our rivers and streams clean.

Honoring Earth

One of my favorite things is coming up with strategies on how to honor Earth. I love to recycle, compost and find better ways to use water. Happy Trash is my recycling go to and Eco Montana for compostable products.

Gift Giving

Since 1995 I have been directing Bending Towards the Light...A Jazz Nativity in cities around the country. In 2023 I produced and directed the premiere of this fantastic event in Bozeman. One of my favorite things is hearing people say "Seeing this show is such a wonderful gift."
