Rev up Lebanon, another thrilling race legacy is moving to town. Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is preparing for its fourth edition this September with Scott Borchetta, the chairman of Big Machine Label Group now overseeing the event operations, relocating this year to our prestigious Nashville Superspeedway.
Borchetta, renowned for his leadership in both music and motorsports, cited logistical advantages for the shift. With construction underway at Titans Stadium and challenges posed by the downtown course, Nashville Superspeedway offers ample space and enhanced accessibility for teams, businesses, and fans alike.
The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix has quickly established itself as a highlight of Nashville’s entertainment calendar, blending the adrenaline of IndyCar racing with the city’s vibrant culture. As the season finale for the NTT IndyCar Series, the event promises not just intense competition but also significant economic benefits for Middle Tennessee.
"We are thrilled to host the championship-deciding race at Nashville Superspeedway," remarked Marcus Smith, president and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, underscoring their commitment to enriching the region’s sporting landscape. The move to an oval track adds a new dimension to the event, reminiscent of Fontana in 2014, the last oval to host a championship finale.
Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell echoed excitement for the festival-like atmosphere and economic impact the Grand Prix brings to our region, while Mark Miles, CEO of Penske Entertainment, expressed anticipation for the dynamic racing Nashville Superspeedway will deliver.
With details on schedules, tickets, and additional attractions forthcoming, racing enthusiasts and local businesses are gearing up for a weekend filled with adrenaline-pumping action. As the countdown to September 15 begins, Nashville prepares to once again showcase its prowess as a premier destination for motorsports enthusiasts worldwide.
