Skip the Skinny Marg and Opt for these Health-Conscious Cocktails

Before you grab that cocktail shaker, think cleaner, lighter, with an added boost of something that does your body good.

Thanks to Christiaan Rollich, author of Bar Chef, here are three sippers with a health-infused twist. Each is made with Tequila Corrido, a premium spirit that contains no added color or flavoring, as confirmed by the Additive-Free Alliance. These carefully crafted cocktails are packed with beneficial ingredients. Arizona Gold

Tequila Corrido Blanco and passion fruit with vanilla and turmeric

1 1⁄2 oz Tequila Corrido Blanco
3⁄4 oz fresh lime juice
3⁄4 oz syrup mix
1⁄4 oz passion fruit

Add all ingredients in your short shaker, fill shaker to the rim with ice,
shake hard for 5 seconds and dump in your Tom Collins Glass

Garnish: Optional red Salt and a flower 

Syrup Mix: 6 parts Monin golden Turmeric Syrup, 1 part Monin French vanilla

Nightshade

Tequila Corrido Blanco and cilantro with clarified tomato and
jalapeno

1 1⁄2 oz Tequila Corrido
1 1⁄2 oz clarified Tomato Water
1 oz lime juice
3⁄4 oz cilantro/jalapeno syrup

Add all ingredients in your short shaker,
Shake hard for five seconds and strain over fresh ice

Glass: Double Old Fashioned with a salt rim

Garnish: Marigolds

Syrup: 1 cup simple syrup (3 parts sugar, 2 parts water)
1 cup loosely fit cilantro
1/2 jalapeno (do not deseed)
Put all ingredients in a blender and strain through a chinois

White Lion

Tequila Corrido Blanco and coconut with ginger and yuzu

1 1⁄2 oz Tequila Corrido Blanco
3⁄4 oz yuzu
1⁄2 oz coconut syrup (Liquid Alchemist)
1⁄2 oz Ginger Syrup (Liquid Alchemist)

Add all ingredients in your short shaker,
Fill shaker to the rim with ice,
Shake hard for 5 seconds and
Dump in your Tom Collins Glass.

Garnish: Mint Bouquet
