Everyone loves a good celebration, and there is no better time for one than New Year’s Eve. There is no shortage of available entertainment options in and around Hendersonville, including attending local parties, reveling in downtown Nashville and spending the evening at home waiting for the ball to drop in Times Square.
No matter how they choose to ring in the new year, many people like to begin their celebrations by dining out at a favorite restaurant. One of the best New Year’s Eve dining options in Hendersonville is Safari’s Brick Oven & Grill Restaurant, located on East Main Street. Safari’s was originally opened near Rivergate Mall and was very popular in the 1990s and early 2000s. Furnished in a jungle and wild animal theme, the restaurant was famous for its expansive food and drink menu.
After the original location closed, general manager Ross El-Bobou resurrected the concept when he opened the Hendersonville Safari's Brick Oven & Grill in December 2017. Featuring many of the original restaurant items, the reborn Safari's offers a wide array of burgers, salads, seafood, fajitas, and chicken and steak items, with brick oven-cooked pizzas coming soon.
This year, Safari’s will be offering its regular food and drink menu as well as a few special entrees. The New Year’s Eve menu will include a lobster and fillet Combo and a seafood feast. Along with the regular drink menu, Safari’s will also be offering Champagne to help set a festive mood.
Safari’s will be open for normal business hours on New Year’s Eve, which will be 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Seating will be on a “first come, first served” basis, and reservations will not be available.
