Laura von Boecklin Curry has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Idaho Commission on the Arts. As a state agency operating under the Office of the Governor, the Commission champions artistic excellence, arts education, and community investment. Curry's leadership aims to expand arts access, foster creative placemaking, and enhance Idaho's creative economy. Curry assumed the role on August 7, succeeding Michael Faison, who retired after 16 years. With over a decade of executive-level experience in arts and human service organizations, Curry led Ballet Idaho through the pandemic and served as Executive Director of the College of Western Idaho Foundation. Brundage Mountain's Transformative Upgrades

Brundage Mountain Resort is making significant progress on its $25-$30 million improvement plan, with three key projects at the forefront. The Centennial Chairlift is being upgraded to a high-speed quad, enhancing access to south-side terrain. The Mountain Adventure Center (MAC) is under construction at the base area, along with revamped Mountain Sports School facilities. The new Northwoods residential area is receiving essential infrastructure. The resort aims to enhance guest experiences and reduce ride times, with the upgraded lift set to debut in Winter 2023-24.
