No Pool (or Tired of Your Own)? No Problem!

4 Ways to Get Your Swim on Locally

The temps are soaring and if you’re ready to take a dip but need a place to swim, here are five ways to enjoy cool water fun.

Rent a Backyard

With Swimply, you can rent someone’s backyard pool. Log onto the company’s website and enter the location you want to rent in (there are several Chandler options), your preferences (such as a diving board), your number of guests, and you can rent by the hour. Some spaces rent for as low as $20 per hour. You can swim as a family, host a pool party, have an afternoon swim and barbecue—the choice is up to you. Swimply.com

Enjoy a Pool Party

Several places around the Valley host pool parties during the summer.

Here in Chandler, Gila River Resorts & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass kicks off the third year of its Summer Oasis Pool Party series. Beginning in late May, the destination hosts a pool party concert monthly. On July 27, Two Friends takes the stage, while Aug. 31 features Tyga and Sept. 21 is R3hab. During the event, guests can splash to the beats of internationally recognized DJs and artists against the backdrop of a stunning light show. Ticket options to these 21-and-over events include general admission, VIP, cabanas, and daybeds. PlayAtGila.com

For a family-friendly pool party, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown hosts Summer Pool Party Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Labor Day. The events are open to all ages and include live music, DJs, pool flats, and food and beverage options (additional costs). Tickets available on ResortPass.com. Marriott.com

Chandler has a variety of aquatic centers and neighborhood pools with numerous amenities. For example, Desert Oasis Aquatic Center features a zero-depth area with a kiddie slide, rain drop and water table, lanes, deep-water slide, a figure-eight water slide, and more; Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center, which recently reopened after a big refresh, has a family play pool, zero-depth entry, 725-gallon tumble bucket, two water slides, a lazy river, a water vortex, lanes, diving well, spray pad, and more; and Hamilton Aquatic Center has a zero-depth play pool, interactive water feature, water vortex, current river, two waterslides, competition pool, diving boards, and more.

There’s also Arrowhead Pool, Folley Pool, and Nozomi Aquatic Center.

Take a Dip at a Resort

Take a daycation at a resort with Resort Pass, where you can purchase a day pass to a long list of hotel/resort pools not only in the area, but around the state (or world, for that matter!).
