How Inspire Health Clinics Addresses the Root of Health Problems

Dr. Matthew Graff was on top of the world, the tip of King’s Peak, the highest point in Utah. The view was breathtaking, but its majesty was short-lived as Dr. Graff realized the hike up wasn’t the end. He still had to go down. He decided to take a shortcut, sliding down the shale-covered mountain. He injured himself multiple times and quickly realized the wisdom in taking the longer, safer way back.

That’s the mindset Dr. Graff adopts in his work as a doctor. Although he always tries to be on the cutting edge of new techniques and technologies, he focuses on grounding patients in holistic healing methods before turning to Western medicine.  “Everyone’s looking for a quick fix,” Dr. Graff says, but he doesn’t take shortcuts. He addresses the root of the problem, taking the longer way back, which often ends up being the better solution..

Four years ago, he founded Inspire Health Clinics in South Jordan with Heather Hardy, established with the motto “get well, get fit, and love life.”  The clinic emphasizes improving patients’ “healthspan” as opposed to just their “lifespan.” The difference there is how long one lives healthy instead of just living. “We focus on the individual first and what they can do to optimize their health naturally,” Dr. Graff says.

He says that many health issues stem from poor habits. These changes can be as simple as going to bed on time instead of scrolling on your phone, or choosing to drink water instead of soda. “These things actually do make a huge difference in your health and your longevity,” he says.

The clinic focuses on four core tenets: hormone therapy, weight loss, peptide therapy, and stem cell therapy. Whether it’s Botox or weight loss treatments, everything at Inspire Health Clinics is offered with long-term wellness in mind as well as physical and mental well-being. “When you’re feeling well, you look better,” Dr. Graff says, “and when you look better, you feel better.”

Growing up as the oldest child in a large family, Dr. Graff has been taking care of people for as long as he can remember.  “It’s in my nature to try and help and to protect,” he says.

Because he cares, he invites his patients to “stop living in pain.” Dr. Graff says people often come to him and say things like, “I thought everybody was tired all the time,” or “I thought your feet were just supposed to hurt.” He says that if “your life isn’t exactly where you want it to be, [Inspire Health Clinics is] a safe place that will really try to come to the root of what’s going on.”

“There’s enough pain and heartache that’s going to happen in life,” Dr. Graff says. “If your health is struggling, then get to the root cause of it and figure out if there’s something that can be done.”
