Once Upon a Time

33rd Annual NCMC Foundation Gala Proceeds to support newborns

Once upon a time, a tiny patient was born. This tiny patient required extra medical care and would need to travel to a distant hospital called North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC). She would need to spend several weeks at the Monfort Family Birth Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The journey was long, and a vital piece of equipment called a Transport Isolette, specially designed to transport NICU babies, was needed. The isolette maintains a warm environment, especially for premature babies, who cannot maintain body heat.

In 2020, there were 35 neonatal transports to NCMC. With the purchase of a Transport Isolette, a neonatal transport team based at NCMC can decrease cost of care for patients, create patient centered care with fewer transitions, and improve efficiency and equity of care overall. This year, NCMC Foundation’s 33rd Annual Gala, Once Upon a Time, will help NICU staff at NCMC’s Monfort Family Birth Center purchase travel isolettes to allow NCMC to transport babies needing neonatal intensive care services to their hospital.

The NCMC Foundation invites you to be a part of this fairytale, the 33rd Annual NCMC Foundation Gala, Once Upon a Time, on Saturday, January 29, 2022. The NCMC Foundation asks for your support to continue “promoting excellence in health and education in Weld County”, this year by helping our tiniest patients’ and their families receive their happily ever after.
