Saanvi’s name means "beautiful," "divine," or "knowledgeable" in India. The name fits her perfectly because it is truly "divine" how Saanvi seamlessly incorporates her rich Indian culture into her busy American life. A trained pianist since the age of 4 through the London School of Music, she is headed into her junior year at Allen High School, where she is on track to complete a 2-year IB diploma. Saanvi is already earning college credit and is well into a 5-year international Spanish program that she began in 8th grade.
Saanvi prides herself on maintaining strong ties to her culture while racking up notable accomplishments in the journalism world, earning accolades in several areas: UIL district winner, online editor for the *Eagle Angel* newspaper, and a gold medal Scholastic winner for her poem "Cultured Women."
With a passion for writing, Saanvi plans to pursue a degree in Business Marketing and Journalism. She enjoys putting pen to paper as well as donning beautiful garments and performing classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam). Saanvi is multifaceted and well-accomplished in many areas. She has made a significant impact on the Allen community and will no doubt make an even larger one in the world!
