Nurturing Children's Unique Potentials

The Goddard School Of Frisco Offers Leading PreSchool Education In Two Locations

Early childhood students learn best through play and exploration, asserts education specialists at The Goddard School of Frisco. Jamie Thompson and Chevelle Johnson, Goddard School local owners/operators, state this early learning institution develops the social, emotional, physical and academic development of children from infancy to Pre-K.

This local Goddard School team now has two Frisco locations: Frisco (West) located at 3336 Main Street, and Frisco (East) more recently opened at 4915 Coit Road.

"Children are natural investigators. We embrace and encourage active exploration in all of our classrooms, from the littlest learners to Kindergarten superstars," confirms Jamie, who began working at Goddard during June 2017 and served as director of operations.

Jamie received her bachelor's degree with a focus on Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. Before becoming director, she taught elementary school for eight years.

She says their classrooms and lessons are designed with children’s needs in mind so they grow through play-based activities and hands-on learning experiences, and are encouraged to explore, create and develop essential skills. "Our experienced teachers also provide personalized attention," she adds.

Jamie and Chevelle became on-site owners/operators of the Goddard Frisco West location during December 2022, and added the 14,000-square-foot Frisco East facility during October 2023.

"Little ones begin to transition to preschool routines and new conventions of play, supporting all areas of continuous development. Engaging in creative play not only sparks their imagination but also supports cognitive and sensory development," states Chevelle.

Chevelle has worked at Goddard since October 2011. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. “My favorite thing about working with children is that every day is different, and they always make me laugh," she declares.

Features of the Goddard school are playgrounds, STEAM, customized physical spaces, health and safety and life lesson library.

Chevelle says Goddard teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.

"For infants, we follow care schedules set by our families and use personal care moments to connect with and expand little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day. Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure," she says.

She adds that in their preschool and Pre-K classrooms, they add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills.

"Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings," she says.

Jamie says their experienced Goddard School teachers meet all state or local regulations and have access to continuous training provided by Texas and the group's own Goddard University. "We train teachers on a regular basis in health and safety regulations, education standards and more."

Tours of either Goddard Frisco location can be booked online, and done in-person or virtually. Registrations are completed electronically.

One local parent's testimony to the school is: "The Goddard School has been such a blessing to our family. Our son has grown leaps and bounds since starting and the staff treats us like family." Another parent indicated: "We have been so impressed with both the administrative and teaching staff. They are warm, welcoming and so communicative. Curriculum is purposeful, well communicated and fun!"

Goddard currently licenses more than 600 Goddard School franchises that serve more than 75,000 students in 37 states and Washington, D.C.
