For more than 17 years, Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL) has been helping animals in need, providing crucial aid and comfort supplies to shelters and rescues. Founders Eileen and Brad Smulson started the nonprofit organization to mobilize community support and collect donations aimed to nurture the well-being of homeless animals and increase their chances of being adopted by a forever family.
With the help of generous community supporters, OBOL provides free food and life-saving supplies to rescue groups, shelters, pets of the homeless and struggling pet owners. OBOL also advocates for animal welfare through humane education to raise awareness about the plight of shelter animals and proper pet care. These lessons have proven to be a long-term solution to pet abuse, neglect and abandonment.
