The 31st Annual Oklahoma Renaissance Festival returns this spring, inviting guests to step back in time to 1569 England for six weekends of adventure, entertainment, and merriment at the Castle of Muskogee. Opening Saturday, April 25, 2026, the festival promises an immersive experience filled with history, fantasy, and fun for visitors of all ages.
Each day begins with a royal welcome from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, and her court, setting the stage for a full day of exploration in the lively streets of Castleton Village. Guests can enjoy thrilling jousting tournaments held twice daily, along with interactive experiences like Edged Feather. Throughout the village, a wide variety of food and drink options are available, offering something to satisfy every appetite. Visitors are also encouraged to wander through the winding lanes and browse more than 150 merchants featuring handcrafted goods such as toys, costumes, leatherwork, and other unique treasures.
New this year, the festival introduces a complimentary shuttle service designed to make arrival easier and reduce traffic congestion. Guests can also enjoy the romantic Table Pour Deux, an intimate Champagne experience overlooking the jousting arena, perfect for couples seeking a memorable outing.
Exciting upgrades have been completed throughout the grounds, including the return of The Garrison, where the Castleton Yeoman will present engaging weapon demonstrations and historical displays. The Bavarian Forest area will also feature the newly refreshed Edelweiss Stage, showcasing lively performances by the popular band Wolgemut.
For those seeking a more interactive adventure, a new partnership with the Royal Players Guild offers immersive, tabletop-style questing experiences suitable for all skill levels. Whether a seasoned adventurer or a curious newcomer, guests can take part in unique storytelling journeys.
One of the most anticipated highlights this year is the grand reopening of the Castle’s Great Hall. Following significant fire damage last October, extensive renovations have restored the structure, including an updated drawbridge, rebuilt stone walls, and a stunning timbered ceiling.
With more than 15 stages of entertainment, the festival offers nonstop excitement. Special events such as The Queen’s Tea, King’s Smoker, and Royal Tastings provide exclusive experiences for adult guests, while evening events like the Masque Ball, Pirate’s Feaste, and Ceilidh bring music, dancing, and celebration to select weekends.
The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays from April 25 through May 31, plus Memorial Day, May 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
