“Most of the jewelry we sell is manufactured by our parent company in India, where we have about 3,000 people working for us. Similarly, in China, Thailand, and Indonesia, we have offices that are day in and day out finding innovative new products for our customers. They help us source great quality products at great prices,” says President Vineet Ganeriwala.
Since its inception in 2007, Shop LC has achieved tremendous growth. Their Round Rock location has expanded from approximately 7,000 square feet to 140,000, now spanning three buildings.
Looking ahead, Shop LC plans to break ground in Cedar Park for its new headquarters in 2027. This move will consolidate their operations under one roof. As a champion of ethical practices, this facility will also be more energy-efficient to contribute to a more sustainable future.
“Our mission statement is tied to our philanthropic efforts, to provide one million meals per day by 2031,” says Ganeriwala. “We have a program called Your Purchase Feeds which is that for every product we sell, we provide one meal to a school-going child. This is done through our charity ties—the biggest mid-day meal organization Akshaya Pātra in India, and No Kid Hungry in the U.S.”
Additionally, Shop LC gives back to the community through its series of in-person workshops hosted by industry professionals. Known as Gem Fest, these workshops cover topics like styling, skincare, and gem crystals, and include free jewelry repairs and cleanings. What began as an invitation-only event drawing guests from Dallas and Houston has evolved into a public experience featuring live show viewings and host meet-and-greets.
Shop LC’s commitment to community engagement underscores its broader goal of delivering joy. This approach is crucial in a dynamic, fast-paced market where adapting to customer needs is key.
“In TV home shopping, we have to guess what customers would want and produce content around that,” says Ganeriwala. “There are many complex international operations, handling different time zones, warehouses, and automations. Our organization has a great culture for employees in terms of learning development and having the authority and responsibility to drive. It keeps every day interesting, and the fun never ends.”
