Some say that tennis is the most influential sport in the fashion world, and tennis fashion used to simply be about what you wore on the court. But in recent years, with the advent of athleisure wear, and even brands specifically dedicated to it, sports attire is having a moment. Activewear is now not only just for the gym or the court, as many styles have evolved into everyday wear. Stretchy clothes that are cut to allow maximum flexibility and freedom, while being fashion-forward are just as perfect off the court as they are on it.

Tennis style has evolved from the all-white Wimbledon dresses to more color and fabrics that are sweat-wicking, breathable, performance-wear, UPF-rated, etc. and more importantly, both comfortable and aesthetically appealing.

We asked the experts at The Tennis Store for their recommendations on some fun and trendy new styles to wear while playing or running errands around town. So put down that racquet, get comfortable and don’t be afraid to step out in laid back style, because athleisure wear isn't going anywhere.
