One Call, Done

A Q&A with Zack Kemp of Picture Perfect Homes

How did you get into the home services business?

I originally worked for someone else cleaning windows. I noticed that we’d be cleaning windows, and then the lawn crew would show up, and then someone else for the gutters. I thought, “Why not have one company handle all of it?” That idea stuck with me, and Picture Perfect Homes was born. That was about five years ago, and we've been growing ever since.

What services does Picture Perfect Homes offer?

We focus primarily on outdoor maintenance. Our core services are window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, yard care, weeding, and yard clean-ups. In the winter we do Christmas light installation and removal. It's a solid mix that covers most of what homeowners need to keep their property looking sharp through every season.

What's the real value for homeowners in using one company for all of these services?

Convenience, plain and simple. Instead of scheduling and coordinating with three or four different companies, you make one call. I have about 50 to 60 regular clients I service consistently. Clients know what to expect and when. That reliability matters.

What do you enjoy most about the work?

The variety, honestly. On any given day I might do a special project in the morning, clean windows midday, and finish with yard care in the afternoon. I'm never stuck doing one thing all day. And I genuinely enjoy the people. You get to know your clients on a personal level, not in an intrusive way, but just through conversation over time. You get to see a wide range of people and perspectives. That's something I really value.

What's next for Picture Perfect Homes?

The goal is to grow it into something self-sustaining, maybe two or three crews running, with me focusing on forward growth. Right now, I'm still hands-on every day, which I love, but I'm building toward that next level. We serve both residential and commercial clients throughout the Salt Lake valley, and for the right project, we'll travel farther.
