Since its founding in 1935, Tulsa Town Hall has hosted Oscar-, Nobel-, and Pulitzer Prize winners, scientists, composers, and former heads of State. Speakers hold the interest of an audience for a full hour of sharing that is as entertaining as it is informative.

Chaired by Bernie Dornblaser, a program committee of six board members ensures a quality experience for Tulsa Town Hall lecture series subscribers.

“The selection process begins when committee members research speakers in specific areas and present names and related information to the committee,” says Dornblaser. “That leads to discussions regarding a speaker’s credentials and to online reviews of their past presentations. The committee uses YouTube to determine if a speaker is dynamic and has a ‘wow’ factor. We want a knowledgeable speaker with a dynamic presentation. This process is followed by the committee vote.”

Dornblaser says piecing together a lecture season is much like a puzzle. She says, “The Performing Arts Center (PAC) provides available dates. We talk with agents on speaker availability and then, of course, discuss the speaker’s engagement fee. We adhere to a firm budget. Once speaker and dates are all matched, we have a season!”

Series subscribers are bound to enjoy the upcoming speaker lineup featuring filmmaker and environmental advocate Alexandra Cousteau; wellness expert Ann Kulze; MD; author of The Monuments Men, Robert Edsel; actors Marlee Matlin and Henry Winkler; and Chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine, Steve Forbes.

Tulsa Town Hall is a non-profit organization. Lectures are held at the Tulsa PAC on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $100 for all five speaker events. Luncheons following each lecture are offered for $25. A separate ticket will be sold for the Steve Forbes “Tulsa Town Hall After Dark” evening presentation, April 16, 2020. Call 918.749.5965 for all tickets and information.
