Love That Door...And How It's Decorated

Holiday seasons are perfect times to bask in extra layers of charm and elegance that wrought iron entry doors, windows and gates add to homes by decorating them in standout ways.

Creative ideas for accentuating entryways are available from the team at Love That Door, a premier hand-forged wrought iron door distributor in Frisco and Grapevine. "You dream it, we can build it," says the company's office manager Jenni Parker regarding custom designs. "Your imagination's the limit."

TIPS FOR HOLIDAY DECORATING WROUGHT IRON ENTRYWAYS:

Use lighting to accent natural beauty of doors or windows.

If there's space in-between wrought iron bars and glass on front doors or windows, wrap lights around the bars. Use battery-powered lights if running power to them is challenging or to have flexibility in repositioning them.

Use wrought iron safe decorations.

Try a magnet to see if magnetic decorations stick to the door. If so, those type of holiday magnets or wreath holders easily can transform front doors. If magnets won’t stick, collect some pine cones to glue to the end of wide ribbons. Cover cones with paint or glitter, if desired, and bundle to hang on doors or windows as classy or rustic adornments.

Keep it simple, using a few key elements.

To not over-clutter wrought iron front doors or gates, use light-up lanterns along the entry path to front doors, apply a seasonally white door wrap, and hang an evergreen garland with lights over the top arch of the door. Additional wreaths, lights, tinsel, garland, and even New Year's bells can be added to the window bars.
