In a world heavily dominated by men, Paige Parker’s Nashville-based Happenstance Whiskey brand offers something a little different. Happenstance’s motto focuses on "celebrating life’s moments that happen by chance," but the intention behind Paige's bourbon is obviously well-planned, with plenty of attention to detail.
“We wanted to create a product that pays homage to the tradition of American bourbons that have come before us, but with an unexpected punch of today’s most sought-out flavors,” says Paige Parker. “Although we believe many great moments happen by chance, our premium bourbon is not one of them. At Happenstance, we’re raising a new generation of whiskey lovers who celebrate life’s little moments, so cheers to that!”
The sleek bottle design stands out on any restaurant bar shelf or home bar cart, with foil and noir finishes and modern lettering. Paige emphasizes Happenstance’s bottle design as equally as she did the bourbon blend. The Founders Edition straight bourbon whiskey goes down easily, with fused notes of vanilla, hazelnut, toasted oak, toffee and honey. It’s double-distilled, then barrel-aged to perfection.
Paige says Happenstance aims to fill a void in the whiskey category — offering something equally approachable for those new to whiskey-drinking alongside seasoned professionals.
Blended and bottled in Nashville, Happenstance Founder’s Edition Bourbon is 90 proof (45 percent ABV) and runs $55 for the 750mL bottle. It’s now available for distribution via Lipman Brothers, and the sleek, eye-catching bottle has been spotted in a few local restaurants and bars, such as Jane’s Hideaway, Bottle Cap, and EG&MC. Happenstance is also available for purchase on their website and in select Nashville liquor stores.
Paige says her brand is also expanding to additional U.S. markets soon, so cheers to Happenstance as the female-owned, Nashville brand makes a name for itself nationwide.
