Since opening in June, Nashville’s dining scene has been buzzing about Pastis, the NYC-born Parisian brasserie from acclaimed STARR Restaurants, now located in Wedgewood-Houston. Already one of the city’s most sought-after dinner reservations, the restaurant just turned up the heat even further with the launch of its highly anticipated brunch and lunch menus.
“It's giving a more natural ebb and flow to service as now you're not fighting over a reservation for dinner, and you're able to enjoy it for every meal,” General Manager Tyler St. Denis explains. “There are so many offerings that are available, and it still complements the dinner menu and gives a little bit more versatility.”
Long before opening its Nashville location, Pastis had already earned its place in modern dining. Originally opened in 1999 by Keith McNally in New York’s Meatpacking District, the brasserie quickly grew in popularity, helping to define an era of downtown dining. Over the years, Pastis continued to grow, leading to expansions in Washington, D.C., and Miami, with the two locations carrying the same sense of charm and sophistication that made the original so beloved.
Now, Nashville diners get their own taste of that legacy. The menu, under the direction of Executive Chef Mark Coleman, reflects an approachable French dining experience. From lobster frites to duck confit, every dish is designed to honor tradition while inviting guests to linger, indulge, and come back for more.
“It is just synonymous with a great meal with great friends and great establishment,” Tyler says. “And you can come here for any experience, whether it's a burger and beers, or celebrating your parents' birthday. The level of service and quality of food is top-notch.”
With the arrival of the new lunch and brunch menus, Pastis has introduced several new dishes that are both timeless and indulgent. Buttermilk pancakes, quiche Lorraine, and even a perfectly crafted grilled chicken sandwich are some of the new menu items that are quickly becoming customer favorites. The cocktail menu has expanded as well, with guests now being able to sip on a crisp mimosa or a Bloody Mary to round out their Sunday brunch experience.
Whether it’s rolling out the newest menus or putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated patio – complete with its own bar and room for 60 to 70 guests – no two days ever look the same for Tyler and the rest of the team at Pastis.
“It’s so nice to be in an interactive space where every day is different,” he explains. “You are meeting so many people, and in Nashville, everyone is so nice. “
With its rich New York legacy, timeless French charm, and a distinctly Nashville energy, Pastis has quickly established itself as more than just another addition to the city’s dining scene – it continues to raise the bar for what dining in Wedgewood-Houston can be.
Nashville’s dining scene has plenty of hot spots, but few deliver the kind of charm, energy, and flavor that Pastis brings to the table. Now, with brunch and lunch officially in the mix, the buzz is only getting louder. So, go ahead, book a table, order that cocktail, and make your next meal one to remember at Pastis.
