Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Smoothie

Protein-packed fuel to jump-start your morning

If you’ve ever wished your morning coffee could double as a filling breakfast, this peanut butter cup coffee smoothie is about to become your new go-to. It blends the bold flavor of coffee with the creamy richness of peanut butter and the indulgent taste of chocolate, creating a drink that feels like a treat but fuels like a balanced meal. Whether you’re racing out the door, recovering from a workout, or trying to crush an afternoon sugar craving, this smoothie delivers long-lasting energy and a decadent flavor that makes healthy eating feel effortless.

What makes this smoothie satisfying is its balanced macronutrient profile. The chia seeds contribute a hearty dose of fiber, which supports digestion and keeps you full. These powerful little seeds also deliver omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. The banana adds natural sweetness and provides slow-release carbohydrates that help stabilize your energy levels throughout the morning, avoiding the crash that sugary breakfasts can cause. Natural peanut butter adds creaminess and a salty kick, along with healthy fats and extra protein. It supports satiety and makes the smoothie rich and luscious. The chocolate protein powder ties the flavors together, giving the drink a milkshake-like flavor while boosting its nutritional profile. With just a handful of simple ingredients, everything blends together quickly, making it ideal for busy schedules.

Ingredients

3/4 cup cold brew or chilled brewed coffee

1/4 cup milk of choice

2 tbsp chia seeds

1/2 frozen banana

4-5 ice cubes

1 scoop chocolate protein powder of choice

3-4 tbsp natural peanut butter

Directions

Put all your ingredients except the protein powder in your blender. Blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thin for your taste, add a few more ice cubes and blend again until smooth.

Add the scoop of protein powder and pulse again 4 or 5 times until well combined.

Pour into a glass, sip, and enjoy!

Breakfast hack

If you’d prefer to enjoy your smoothie as a spoonable treat, skip the milk and use a full frozen banana for a thicker texture. After blending, scoop into a bowl and finish with your choice of toppings. We like banana slices, cacao nibs, granola, and an extra drizzle of peanut butter for a satisfying crunch and added richness.
