Since 2009, Chad Nikkel has been helping homeowners keep their pools sparking clean and dive-in ready.

But then, seeing people needing to drain their pools every two years or so and the amount of water that was wasted—as well as the fact that Arizona is running out of water—compelled Nikkel to begin researching eco-friendly ways to preserve water. That’s when he came across reverse osmosis pool purification.
“This is an option to make a significant impact with an amazing technology, and save water at a large rate,” Nikkel explains. “Every time you drain your pool, that wastes approximately 15,000-plus gallons down the drain of a precious resource in our desert. Additionally, the water that comes out of the tap in the Valley is very hard and has a lot of minerals already in it. Our mobile reverse osmosis process turns the water in your pool to bottled water quality. Your pool will run better and require less chemicals afterwards. It will also be better for your skin, hair and nails, and for your pets if they swim or drink out of your pool.”
Nikkel worked with a company in Lake Havasu that specializes in water conservation techniques to build a custom mobile trailer that is adapted with the reverse osmosis technology. He then launched the Aqua Touch Pool Purification side of the company, where the trailer is brought to homes. The entire purification process wastes barely 5%-10% of water.
