Phoenix Fashion Week's Top 40 Model Search in ON!

Every model starts somewhere, but not every model gets the training, exposure, and opportunities to turn their dreams into reality. That’s where Phoenix Fashion Week’s Top 40 Model Search comes in.

Returning on Sunday, April 27, 2025, this prestigious program is not just a competition—it’s a career accelerator for aspiring models looking to break into the fashion industry.

“Our program transforms aspiring models into industry-ready professionals, giving them real-world experience before they even hit the main stage," says Brian Hill, Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week.

Each year, over 400 hopefuls audition, but only 40 models (10 male, 30 female) make the cut for an intensive four-month bootcamp designed to refine their runway skills, build confidence, and provide unmatched industry exposure.

Unlike traditional castings that only focus on looks, Phoenix Fashion Week invests in talent development, ensuring that every selected model receives:

  • Professional runway and editorial posing training
  • Exposure to top designers, photographers, and agencies
  • Brand-building workshops, including social media growth
  • A shot at becoming Male & Female Model of the Year—a title that comes with a modeling contract and major fashion campaign opportunities

Beyond the Runway: The Training & Industry Challenges

Over the summer, the selected Top 40 models go through five real-world fashion challenges, each designed to educate, push boundaries, and prepare models for high-level industry success.

“We teach models how to navigate castings, work with designers, and build a personal brand that lasts beyond Phoenix Fashion Week," says Brian.

This program has led models to sign with agencies like Wilhelmina, The Agency Arizona, and Next Models and book national campaigns, magazine covers, and runway shows from L.A. to New York Fashion Week. Notably, Brittany Brown, a Top 40 alum, went onto compete on America’s Next Top Model.

"We’re not just looking for beautiful faces—we’re looking for dedication, professionalism, and potential."
