Kristol Kumar has been photographing people and places for 15 years both locally and internationally. “It’s not about the perfect portrait. It’s about telling the story…peeking into the window of who they are,” Kristol says. “In front of the camera is a vulnerable place to be. I help subjects relax and I bring them to a positive space.” She laughingly calls it photographic therapy. “What’s inside translates to the camera - it shows in their eyes, their posture, their expressions…everything,” she adds. “It’s my job to bring that out and capture it for a lasting memory.” While people are her forte, Kristol also enjoys photography for small business - creating a visual brand identity for websites, stories, and ads.
