Whether needing a physical exam, seeking family medicine natural remedies, recovering from an accident, healing from or contemplating a serious surgical procedure, or simply looking to improve overall flexibility, one Frisco therapeutic facility integrates physical medicine and medical services to derive lasting results. Wellness Solutions professionals incorporate and blend clinically proven treatments such as exercise rehabilitation, chiropractic, massage therapy, decompression and cold laser therapy to strengthen and condition body function.
"Increasing mobility improves range of motion, which facilitates healing and protects the body from injury. We apply physical medicine methods to treat chronic back pain, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder issues, elbow pain, migraines, surgical recovery, sports rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning," explains Sandra Caldwell, MD, and Wellness Solutions medical director.
She emphasizes their patients also seek relief from non-injury conditions, such as painful ankles due to diabetes, as well as trigger point injections, ultrasounds and medical weight loss, often with vitamins and supplement consultations.
In fact, Dr. Caldwell says the Wellness Solutions mission is to offer the most thorough environment possible of medical treatments, rehabilitation therapy, chiropractic and wellness counseling. Staff resources include a director of rehabilitation, neurodiagnostic specialist, physicians assistant, nurse practitioner and physical therapist.
They also provide telehealth services for ill patients and routine medical visits.
For physical-related treatments, Dr. Bowden, Wellness Solutions founder and clinical director, says they provide regenerative therapy, spinal decompression, physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy and chiropractic care.
"Many of our patients immediately ask, 'How quick can you fix me?'" says Alexis Pagan, certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist at Wellness Solutions. "But each person's injury or situation is different and we approach each in a custom way."
Loren Hamby, Wellness Solutions operations manager, says their wellness services prior to the COVID-19 pandemic also included on-site workshops, corporate wellness outreach programs to provide health fairs and clinics for personnel health checks, and motivational classes in proper exercising and stress reduction. She adds that they hope to resume in-person community outreach and health support soon.
Student athletes from throughout the Frisco Independent School District also are treated at the Wellness Solutions center. This is an area of special interest to Dr. Bowden, who graduated from Plano Senior High School with a firsthand understanding of the athlete mentality through his years of team sports, including playing football through the semi-pro level. He also competed in adventure races, strongman competitions and powerlifting.
